It is not magic what Toyota did; many of us have been reading The Toyota Way. They introduced a lot of systems, well that is one thing, but what they really did and many giant companies did too was understanding and working with their suppliers.
Because Toyota knew the component quality come the process producing them and the profit comes by cutting off all unnecessary waste around the pure process.
